Two Russian missiles fell in Poland

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki urgently convened the Council of Ministers Committee on National Security and Defense.

This was announced by the representative of the Polish government Piotr Muller, reports “European Truth” with reference to Polsat News.

The message about the meeting appeared shortly before 18.00 local time.

As you know, on Tuesday afternoon, Russia launched a massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine, missiles fell near the border with Poland.

A correspondent for Radio Zet unofficially reported that two rockets landed in the village of Przevoduv near the Ukrainian border and hit grain dryers. Two people have even been reported dead. Representatives of the police, prosecutors and troops arrived at the scene.

At the same time, Radio Lublin reports a different version. The incident in Przevodov occurred at about 3:40 pm on a reloading scale, where tractors with loads arrive. This information of the radio station was confirmed by the local police. According to preliminary findings, the tractor that drove onto the scale suddenly exploded. Radio also reports the death of two people.

The Committee of the Council of Ministers on National Security and Defense was established in October 2020 by the decision of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. Its first chairman was the head of the Law and Justice party, Yaroslav Kaczynski, who at that time served in the government as vice prime minister for security issues. The Committee consists of the Deputy Prime Minister, who is appointed by the head of government, the head of the Ministry of Defense, the head of the Ministry of the Interior, the Minister of Justice, the Minister Coordinating the Intelligence Services and the head of diplomacy.

“The tasks of the committee are to ensure the coordination of preparation, activities and effective decision-making on issues of national security and defense, as well as the preparation of proposals to the Council of Ministers or the Prime Minister on these issues,” the committee’s tasks are explained in the Polish government.
