Ombudsman informed the President about Saakashvili’s condition

Public Defender of Georgia Nino Lomjaria conveyed to the President of Georgia information about the state of health of Mikheil Saakashvili. As Lomjaria told journalists, Salome Zurabishvili said that representatives of the presidential administration, who are in constant contact with the expert organization, are dealing with the case.

“I gave Salome Zurabishvili information about my impressions and the information that I received at Vivamedi. She told me that she is in contact, her representatives are in touch with the organization of experts, the organization of Ms. Maki Jishkariani, they are aware of the matter and are monitoring the process,” Lomjaria said.

The Ombudswoman also shared that, according to doctors, there is no improvement in the dynamics of the third president.

“I visited him two days ago, I am not a doctor and cannot make a specific diagnosis, but I personally saw the patient in a very serious condition, in a condition that I could not imagine if I had not seen everything with my own eyes. I didn’t expect the situation to be so serious that he was so weak. The doctors themselves admit that there is no improvement in his dynamics in the neurological or other direction, that is, there is no improvement. He was exhausted, unable to move, walk, speaks with difficulty, he has no strength, there is a fever. I don’t know what the diagnosis is, but the person I saw is in critical condition,” said Nino Lomjaria.
