Rati Andronikashvili, player of the Georgian national basketball team, will continue his career in the Spanish club Murcia, which plays in the top division of the ACB League.

The Georgian basketball player has already signed a three-year contract with Murcia. The message about this was spread by the Georgian Basketball Federation, Novosti-Georgia agency writes.

One of these days, on December 4, Andronikashvili will turn 22 years old. He is 1.93 m tall and weighs 84 kg. Plays as point guard and attacking defender.

In the past, he was a member of the Georgian under-18 basketball team and the Georgian under-16 basketball team, even then the media wrote about him as “the most dangerous opponent.”

Murcia is not Andronikashvili’s first foreign contract. In 2020, Andronikashvili signed with the Creighton Bluejays basketball team of the NCAA Division I college basketball in the United States. But in the fall of that year, he tore a ligament, which forced him to miss the season.

Another member of the Georgian national team plays in Murcia – Thad McFadden (junior), who received Georgian citizenship.

Murcia’s next match is December 4 against Baskonia.
