“We prove by our deeds that we serve the national interests of the country. The time is over when we had to carry out directives harmful to the country, we will listen to everyone, but we will do what the country needs,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said during his final speech in parliament.

According to him, Georgian Dream was able to establish an unprecedented long-term peace and stability in the country.

“From the speeches of several deputies, I can conclude that there is certainly a big difference between us and the radical, anti-state force. What is alien to them is organic, natural for us. We prove by our deeds that we serve the national interests of the country. The time has ended when we had to carry out directives harmful to the country, we will listen to everyone, but we will do what the country needs.

We treat our foreign partners and friends with great respect. It is unacceptable to insult each other, just as it is unacceptable and I have never heard the assessment of members of the radical opposition when, for example, former or active members of different states attack representatives of our government, country, active or former members.

Where are the national interests, where it is clear that these people defend the national interests of our country. On the contrary, they serve the interests of hostile groups of people. It was no coincidence that we called the radical opposition the “party of war.” Their main task was and remains the opening of a second front in the country. They were and were ready to sign the country’s transformation into a testing ground, we know this very well, and in my previous speech I gave some evidence. Our friends noted in their speeches that we managed to establish a truly unprecedented long-term peace and stability in the country, which is a harbinger of prosperity brought by the rule of the Georgian Dream. I won’t repeat where we were, all of you, first of all, our citizens, remember well,” the Prime Minister said.
