Russia can’t win this war

The US State Department called on Russia to end the war and withdraw its troops from Ukraine. During the briefing, Deputy State Department Secretary Vedant Patel said that the Russian Federation cannot win this dastardly war, UNIAN reports.
“We strongly urge Russia to withdraw its forces to end an unnecessary war that it cannot and will not win, no matter how vile and reckless its tactics are,” he stressed.
Patel emphasized that it is the Russian Federation that is responsible for the atrocities in the occupied territories of Ukraine. According to the representative of the State Department, the latest report of the Conflict Observatory details numerous cases of illegal detentions, torture and disappearances of people in Kherson and the region, which were committed by the Russian occupiers.
“Today we again call on the Russian Federation to stop its filtration operations, violation and neglect of human rights, disregard for international humanitarian law and the UN Charter,” Patel summed up.
