Lithuania has chosen the Georgian Webapp among ten non-EU startups to participate in the Startupcation program. Participants were given access to the country’s relevant business networks and were introduced to the emerging startup ecosystem of the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius.

Georgian Webapp, which is mainly engaged in the creation of websites, mobile applications and various technology-related projects, was selected among the other 10 startups according to fairly strict criteria.

“During my participation in Startupcation, I was given the opportunity to see how business is managed in the country, was able to analyze the local market and got acquainted with the legislation and tax system,” says Levan Meskikhshvili, founder and CEO of Webapp. “For me, what Lithuania has achieved has been impressive. The country has developed promising opportunities for European companies as well as for non-European ones. The government maintains a friendly attitude towards such companies, so business and technology start-ups can develop rapidly.”

He also stressed the importance of building a local network and what it means for startups trying to gain access to the EU market.
