According to the Georgian Foreign Ministry, the Georgian Consulate General in Istanbul has not received official notifications that Georgian citizens may be among the injured and killed in the explosion in the center of Istanbul.
According to them, the consulate maintains constant contact with local law enforcement officers.
“As of this hour, the Consulate General of Georgia in Istanbul has not received official notifications about Georgian citizens. The consulate is in constant contact with local law enforcement officers,” the message says.
Recall that at least 11 people were injured in an explosion on Istiklal Avenue in the center of Istanbul. There are also dead.
