They have been talking for 10 years, and this famous phrase of Garibashvili: “They will disappear from the radar”, but in reality we are not disappearing, but becoming stronger, – Akaki Minashvili, a member of the National Movement, said in the 360 Degrees program on the Palitranews TV channel, commenting on the situation in the National Movement.

As Akaki Minashvili noted, the party has always come out of such a situation stronger, and it will be so now.

According to him, the briefing held by some members of the National Movement was a wrong step in the current situation.

“The party has been talking about elections for about a month and a half… It’s just that Nika Melia said that in this situation, when the question of Mikheil Saakashvili can be decided by the court any day, it’s not worth raising this topic yet. And after Saakashvili’s issue is resolved, depending on the situation, it will be possible to talk about elections. Therefore, it was wrong to hold this briefing in this form, and even more so on the day when the resolution was discussed. Much to our regret, this briefing and talk of domestic issues created an agenda, and this created agenda undermined interest in this resolution. It is, to put it mildly, inadequate to talk about the collapse of the National Movement, because the National Movement has always come out of such a situation stronger, and it will be so now. This is how we look at these elections,” said Akaki Minashvili.

According to Minashvili, among the candidates, Nika Melia is the most effective both in terms of creating a protest charge and communicating with the people.

“My position is very clear, I’ll simply say, the government will change here and early elections will be called under the conditions of an appropriate charge and protest wave, and communication with people is very important, it requires certain skills, and in both cases, Nika Melia is the most effective of today’s candidates,” Akaki Minashvili said.
