Representatives of the Russian occupation regime erected an illegal installation in the occupied territory near the village of Atotsi, Karelian municipality. Information about this is being disseminated by the State Security Service (SSS) of Georgia.
According to the State Security Service, the hotline was immediately activated and the EU monitoring mission and the co-chairs of the international discussions in Geneva were informed.
“Illegal activities along the line of occupation, including the construction of installations within the framework of the illegal so-called. borderization, complicates the daily life of the local population and damages the security situation in the region. Responsibility for this rests entirely with the occupying force.
The issue of erecting installations within the framework of the illegal so-called. borderization will be vigorously discussed at the next meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM), as well as at the next round of the Geneva International Discussions.
