The Georgian Ministry of Defense announced on November 11 that a delegation of the NATO Partnership and Cooperative Security Committee (PCSC) is in Georgia on a two-day visit.

The Committee’s visit reaffirms NATO’s unwavering support for Georgia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and Euro-Atlantic aspirations, the Defense Ministry said.

According to the ministry, within the framework of the visit, an interdepartmental meeting on defense and security issues was held at the NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Center (JTEC) with the participation of the Office of the National Security Council and the Coast Guard of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.

According to the ministry, the meeting participants discussed the security environment and growing challenges in the region, as well as defense and security reforms and the need to deepen NATO-Georgia cooperation, taking into account existing challenges.

“Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the “Individual Support Document for Georgia”, which was adopted at the Madrid Summit, through the strengthening of the NATO-Georgia Substantial Package, which includes further strengthening of the defense capability and implementation of effective measures by allies,” the ministry said in a statement.
