A meeting of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs is underway, which should consider changes in the report related to Georgia’s implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU.

At the beginning of the session, Giuli Alasania was greeted by the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament, David McAllister.
“Today we are holding our meeting in the presence of Professor Giuli Alasania, the mother of former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili, as well as members of his family and family friends. Our committee has repeatedly expressed concern about the state of health of Mikheil Saakashvili in prison. So a hearty welcome,” McAllister said.
