Direct flights between Tbilisi and Zurich may be established

According to the Georgian Embassy in Switzerland, on November 1, the Georgian Ambassador to Switzerland, Revaz Lominadze, met with Patrick Heyman, Executive Commercial Director of the Swiss airline Edelweiss, to discuss the possibility of direct flights between Georgia and Switzerland.
According to the embassy, the Swiss airline is interested in organizing flights on the Zurich-Tbilisi-Zurich route, and negotiations are close to completion.
“Direct flights between the two countries will help increase tourist flows, attract investors and strengthen economic cooperation,” the embassy said in a statement.
