Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian today acknowledged the delivery of drones to Russia for the first time, according to the Washington Post.

According to the Iranian Foreign Minister, this was before the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

“About drones, this is true. We provided Russia with a limited number of drones a few months before the war in Ukraine,” the minister said.

He stressed that Iran has no information about the use of their drones in Ukraine and that Tehran is committed to ending the conflict.

“If (Ukraine) has documents confirming the use of Iranian drones by Russia in Ukraine, it should provide them to us, and we are not indifferent to this issue,” said Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

Earlier, Iranian officials denied supplying Russia with weapons that they would later use in the war against Ukraine.
