According to Roman Gotsiridze, the only thing that Georgian Dream has prepared is the law on the Anti-Corruption Bureau, but it is also at odds with the spirit of the EU recommendations.

“They won’t see anything. December has not been canceled; the time frame for drafting laws based on the recommendations. The discussion has moved, but it will be after December, in a few months, and the final decision will be at the end of the year. How do we meet them? The only thing they have prepared is the law on the Anti-Corruption Bureau, which is completely at odds with the spirit and content of what the EU requires of us,” Roman Gotsiridze said.

He also touched upon the issue of the election of the Public Defender in the context of the implementation of the EU recommendations, noting that if the non-governmental sector and parties are excluded from the process of choosing the Public Defender, and Georgian Dream approves its candidate with the help of two opposition MPs, the EU will never recognize such a Public Defender. protector.
