Russians deported at least 147 civilians during occupation of Kyiv Oblast

During the occupation of the Kyiv Oblast in the spring, Russian occupying forces illegally deported 147 civilians to Belarus and the Russian Federation.

Quote: “According to official data alone, during the occupation of the Kyiv Oblast, the invaders illegally deported 147 peaceful Ukrainians to the territory of Belarus and the Russian Federation.

43 civilians in the region are being held captive. Another 89 people were deported, and their fate is unknown.”

Background:

• In early April, the Ukrainian Defence Forces liberated the Kyiv oblast from Russian invaders. At the same time, the facts of numerous Russian atrocities began to be uncovered. 
• The bodies of civilians tortured by the Russians were found in all settlements of the Kyiv Oblast that were temporarily occupied by invaders.
• In total, as of 20 October, the police have already found 1,365 bodies of civilians killed during the occupation of the Kyiv Oblast.
