Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili opened the international conference of the Georgian Local Self-Government Platform “Efficiency and Challenges of Local Self-Government in Georgia” and addressed the Polish, American, Canadian and Israeli guests with a welcoming speech.
According to Salome Zurabishvili, self-government is crucial for democracy in the country. According to her, self-government should be real, and not remain just a good legal basis.
