The Ambassador of India to Georgia conquered Mount Kazbek as part of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of India’s independence.

Ambassador Kashan Dan Dual and the second secretary of the embassy Tejas Pagar climbed one of the highest mountains in the Caucasus – 5054 m, which in Georgian is called Mkinvartsveri. There, the diplomats unfurled Indian flags.

Georgia and India established diplomatic relations in September 1992. Georgia has its own embassy in New Delhi. Currently, the Indian Embassy in Yerevan is simultaneously accredited to Georgia. Since last year, negotiations have been underway to open an Indian embassy directly in Tbilisi.
