We reiterate Georgia’s support for Ukraine in the struggle for freedom

Back in 2005, the Georgian parliament assessed the Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people. The Embassy of Georgia in Ukraine expresses its condolences to the Ukrainian people in connection with the Day of Remembrance of the victims of the Holodomor. This information is being disseminated by the Georgian Embassy in Ukraine.

According to their own information, the Soviet regime deliberately destroyed millions of Ukrainians through artificially induced famine.

“This was genocide – one of the heaviest crimes committed against humanity.

Back in 2005, the Georgian parliament assessed the Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people.

Today, against the backdrop of Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine, we once again emphasize Georgia’s firm support for Ukraine in the struggle for freedom,” the embassy said in a statement.
