Parliamentary delegation of Georgia met with representatives of the diaspora living in Portugal

Speaker of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili, who is on a working visit to the Portuguese Republic, and members of the parliamentary delegation held a meeting in Lisbon with representatives of the Georgian diaspora. At the meeting, members of the delegation spoke about the state’s attitude towards diaspora organizations and the programs implemented by the government.

β€œIn this case, our approach and the approach of the Patriarchy are unequivocal – we help young people who were born and raised here as much as possible so that they do not lose their identification with their country,” said Beka Odisharia, head of the Committee on Diaspora and Caucasus Affairs.
