Ukraine must liberate about 2,000 more of its cities and villages occupied by Russia, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during a speech before the Congress of Mayors and Heads of Municipalities of France, Ukrayinska Pravda reports.
“In general, there are about two thousand cities and villages that we have yet to liberate and restore. At least dozens of them were completely destroyed by the blows of the Russian army, like Mariupol or Volnovakha.
When the Ukrainian flag returns to the liberated territory, we do our best to bring back normal life with it. That is why Ukraine is so grateful to everyone who supports us, our defense, finances, and reconstruction. It is literally life-saving assistance,” he said.
The President of Ukraine noted that the Russians are destroying all infrastructure in the occupied territories, and when they run away, they steal all the equipment that provided the life of the city.
