The Week of Regions starts at the Presidential Palace in Tbilisi from Svaneti

The Week of Regions is opening today in Tbilisi, at the Orbeliani Presidential Palace in Tbilisi – the Days of Svaneti will be held here for three days.
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili said that with this event she intends to promote the popularization of the regions so that as many people as possible learn about their economic and cultural potential.
“The Orbeliani Palace will become an open space where people will find a common language to contribute to the development of the Upper Svaneti region… Our goal is the Svaneti of the future, as glorious and proud as its rich and diverse past,” the presidential administration said in a statement.
As part of the Days of Svaneti, in parallel with the cultural program, there will be panel discussions on self-government, energy, economic potential and tourism potential of Svaneti.
