Cars with foreign numbers will soon be included in the video-fining system in Georgia – amendments to the law on administrative violations are submitted to the parliament.
Prior to this, the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that the automatic system for issuing fines for violations recorded by video surveillance cameras does not recognize the addresses of visitors and does not understand where to send receipts.
The changes were announced by Deputy Interior Minister Alexander Darakhvelidze.
Messages about “video fines” will be published on a special page, the driver will have 30 days to pay. In case of non-payment, interest will be charged, and the foreigner loses the right to enter Georgia until the debt is paid off.
