It is imperative that Georgians work together to implement the 12 recommendations and that this process be inclusive, and that the government and opposition parties work together and the opposition participate constructively in this process,” said EU Ambassador to Georgia Pavel Gerchinsky.

According to him, in June of this year, Georgia received a European perspective. The decision was taken by 27 EU leaders along with 12 recommendations. And the recommendations are being worked on.

“I sincerely hope that the result of this will be Georgia’s progress towards the EU, and I hope that Georgia will be granted candidate status, but it depends on the political elite of Georgia and how they implement the 12 recommendations that must be implemented inclusively. This requires everyone to work together, for the government to be open to the opposition, and for the opposition to work constructively with the government to implement the 12 recommendations,” the ambassador said.
