EU to adopt new package of sanctions against Iran today

According to EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, today the EU will introduce new sanctions against Iran.
“Today we will receive a new package of sanctions against Iran. Sanctions will be imposed against those responsible for the repression of demonstrators. Yesterday I spoke with the Iranian foreign minister. We discussed the so-called nuclear agreement, as well as the military assistance provided by Iran to Russia, which should be stopped,” Josep Borrell said in Brussels, where the meeting of the foreign ministers of the EU member states is taking place.
According to him, the European Union has evidence that Iran is supplying drones to Russia. As for the supply of missiles, according to Borelli, Brussels does not yet have sufficient documents confirming this.
