Israel attacked a military airbase in Syria used by Russia

Israel launched a missile attack on the large Syrian air base Shayrat, which was used by the Iranian and Russian military. It is reported by Reuters with reference to the Syrian media.
As a result of the strike on the airfield, two soldiers were killed and three wounded, according to the Syrian news agency SANA. Military sources claim that the attacked air base was recently used by the Iranian military.
One agency military source, not authorized to make public statements, says the strikes targeted an airstrip at an air base southeast of Homs city.
Also, sources in law enforcement agencies report that Russia, which maintains a military presence in Syria, deploys troops near the Shayrat airbase and uses this facility.
Israeli fighter jets fired four missiles towards the target.
