National Movement member Koba Nakopia says he is not going to run for the presidency of the party.

According to him, it is a pity that his colleagues held a separate briefing on election issues, so that neither he, as the chairman of the political council, nor the chairman of the party, Nika Melia, were informed. Koba Nakopia noted that the issue of elections and a new plan of action had been discussed in the party for a long time.

Koba Nakopia does not believe that Nika Melia has exhausted himself as chairman. According to him, he supports Melia.

At the same time, Koba Nakopia noted that Mikheil Saakashvili does not like the current events in the party, but he does not interfere in these processes.

“Mikhail Saakashvili’s state of health does not give us the opportunity to discuss these topics with him in detail. He knows about it and has a very clear position. He does not interfere in these processes, I tell you for sure. Of course, he does not like the current events in the party and he believes that now is not the time for this. I tell you again, he does not interfere,” said Koba Nakopia.
