Only one candidate Karaman Kutateladze takes part in the election of the rector of the Tbilisi Art Academy. This is confirmed by the press service of the university.
It was possible to make an application for participation from October 6 to November 7. There were no volunteers except Kutateladze.
For more than 20 years, Kutateladze has been running the Garikula Art Villa (Regional Center for Contemporary Arts) in the village of Garikula in the Kaspi municipality.
The candidate’s strategic plan involves re-accreditation of study programs, work on new programs, accreditation of programs in a foreign language, and the introduction of professional programs.
The election of the rector will be held on November 18. He will be elected by the Academic Council, consisting of 11 members. Elections will be held by secret ballot.
