Minister of Economy of Georgia met with Director General of Eurocontrol

“For the process of integration with Europe, our institutional integration into European structures is very important, including Georgia’s participation in Eurocontrol is very important for the development of Georgian aviation,” said Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili, commenting on the meeting with the Director General Eurocontrol by Eamon Brenan (European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation – EUROCONTROL).
The parties discussed current and future relations between Georgia and the organization in the field of civil aviation, and their development. As the Deputy Prime Minister noted, next year Georgia will become the chair of Eurocontrol, and therefore it was very important to discuss specific issues with partners – the leadership of the organization.
Eurocontrol is an international aviation organization whose activities are aimed at ensuring the safe and uninterrupted control of air traffic throughout Europe. Georgia became a member of the organization in 2014.
