The European Union will allocate 250 million euros to Moldova to overcome the energy crisis. This was announced by the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, who was on a visit to Chisinau.

According to Moldovan President Maia Sandu, EU assistance will help Moldova diversify its energy sources, as well as help the government subsidize poor citizens to cover winter bills.

“European money is being invested in the rehabilitation of roads to improve the life of the population of Moldova.

Today, in a conversation with Mrs. von der Leyen, we reaffirmed our firm intention to move on to the next stage of European integration – the start of negotiations,” Maia Sandu said.
