Several other organizations called on the President of Georgia to pardon Nika Gvaramia

Several other organizations issued a joint appeal to Salome Zurabishvili, in which they called on the President of Georgia to pardon Nika Gvaramia, the founder of Mtavari Arkhi.

The appeal was announced at a briefing that took place today, November 10.

“We, the citizens of Georgia, representatives of the regional media, the public and religious [организаций]we appeal to the President of the country, Salome Zurabishvili, with a request to pardon Nika Gvaramia, for the sake of developing democracy and independent media in Georgia.

We believe that this step will be the best step towards eliminating the political crisis in Georgia. As the public sector and media operating in the regions, we are very concerned about the propaganda directed today against free media, critical individuals and the public sector,” they said.
