Unfortunately, it is Georgian Dream that organizes internal confrontation, and the positions that a number of European parliamentarians fix are based on what is really happening in Georgia, – Nika Chitadze, an expert on international relations, said in the Newsroom of the Day program on Palitranews TV channel, commenting on the statements of the leaders of the Georgian Dream that documents like the resolution adopted by the European Parliament encourage internal confrontation in the country.

According to Nika Chitadze, there were no real responses to criticism from members of the Georgian Dream, and they turn to personal insults.

“Firstly, this anti-Western campaign was started, as if the West is trying to drag Georgia into the war. This is an absolute lie. Let me give at least one example of this. On the contrary, the EU and the US are doing everything possible to resolve the existing conflicts in Georgia peacefully. The very activity of the Georgian Dream causes confrontation, they insult their political opponents, saying that, they say, it was a bloody nine-year regime, and all those who support them share the opinion of former dictators. They often say this and incite their supporters. There were no real answers to the criticism from the Georgian Dream, and they turn to personal insults,” Nika Chitadze said.

According to Nika Chitadze, the Georgian Dream road leads Georgia to Russia.

“Unfortunately, this road that the Georgian authorities have taken will not “lead us to the temple”, and there are no prerequisites for the integration of Georgia as a state into a Western democratic society. This road leads to Russia,” said Nika Chitadze.

During the broadcast, Nika Chitadze also commented on the statement of Irakli Kadagishvili, a member of the parliamentary majority, according to which the European parliamentarians tell us with their critical report that their “political will is to make some changes in the country in an unconstitutional way.”

According to Nika Chitadze, the West really wants a change of power in Georgia, but only this should happen in a constitutional way.
