The Ministry of Health of Georgia has announced that it will no longer publish even monthly statistics on coronavirus.

“Recently, the country has seen a downward trend in the incidence of coronavirus and the epidemic situation is stable. Given the above, the need to publish separate statistics on Covid has disappeared,” the department told the Georgian service of Radio Liberty.

Data on coronavirus will now be published as part of the general reports on the incidence in the country.

The last time the National Center for Disease Control released data on coronavirus was on October 4. As of September 30, 2022, since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,792,109 cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia, and 16,900 people have died.
