The Pentagon confirmed the delivery of two NASAMS systems to Ukraine

US Defense Department spokesman Brigadier General Patrick Ryder confirmed on Tuesday that Ukraine has received two NASAMS air defense systems. This is reported by “European truth”.

“As part of the process of transferring weapons, we also provided training for Ukrainians in the management and maintenance of these weapons. They recently completed training, it took place in Europe,” Ryder said at a briefing.

The Pentagon spokesman added that two NASAMS systems “are already in Ukraine and are in working order.”

The day before, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov announced the arrival of NASAMS and Aspide anti-aircraft missile systems in Ukraine, thanking Norway, Spain and the United States for this.

The United States has promised to provide Ukraine with a total of eight NASAMS air defense systems. On November 1, the Pentagon reported that two systems would be deployed in Ukraine soon.

On October 27, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin announced that the first NASAMS air defense systems would be handed over to Ukraine, expected in early November.
