Georgian President begins her visit to France

At the Council of Europe, the President of Georgia is personally received by Secretary General of the Council of Europe Maria Pejcinovic-Burich. Information is disseminated by the presidential administration.

Today there will be a face-to-face meeting between the President of Georgia and the Secretary General. Before that, the President of Georgia will take part in the World Democracy Forum, which is held annually under the patronage of the Council of Europe and the French government.

This year’s goal of the World Democracy Forum is to identify the main factors in the decline of democracy and find adequate ways to solve this problem.

As part of his working visit to France, the President of Georgia is scheduled to meet with the Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Tiny Cox, and the Prime Minister of Iceland, Katrin Jakobsdouttir.
