External power supply has been restored at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reports.
According to the Reuters news agency, the external power supply of the nuclear facility was restored in two days.
It was disconnected from the grid after Russian attacks damaged high-voltage power lines.
IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi reiterated the call for the establishment of a nuclear safety and security zone around the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant to prevent a nuclear accident.
“We can’t waste any more time. We must act before it’s too late,” Grossi said.
Recall that the Zaporozhye NPP is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, which has been controlled by Russian forces since March.
