Five Georgians will compete for medals on the final day of the Grand Slam tournament in Baku.

Among our judokas, the young Ilya Sulamanidze, who competes in the weight category up to 100 kg, was the first to take to the tatami. The Georgian defeated the Kazakh Moldagulov with a beautiful throw and now in the 1/8 finals he will meet with the Uzbek Turaboev.

Luka Maisuradze (90 kg), Guram Tushishvili, Saba Inaneishvili (both +100) and heavyweight Sofia Somkhishvili will also take to the mat today.

We remind you that after two days of competition, the Georgian team has only one bronze medal, which Lasha Shavdatuashvili won yesterday at the Baku Grand Slam tournament.
