3 Georgian citizens detained near the line of occupation of Tskhinvali released
According to the State Security Service, information about the illegal detention was provided to the co-chairs of the Geneva International Discussions and international partners. A hotline was also activated, operating under the auspices of the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia.
“Responsibility for all destructive actions committed in the occupied regions of Georgia and along the line of occupation lies with the occupying force,” the ministry said in a statement.
According to the State Security Service, “the central government (of Georgia), together with international partners, continues to actively work to release all persons in illegal detention, both in the direction of the occupied Tskhinvali region and occupied Abkhazia.”
