Regardless of the results of the elections to the US Congress, which will be held on November 8, bipartisan support for Ukraine will remain, which will allow continuing assistance to Ukraine in resisting Russian aggression.

According to a correspondent of Evropeyskaya Pravda, US security adviser Jake Sullivan said this in a conversation with journalists during a visit to Ukraine.

Sullivan noted that he was not talking about “probable”, but about guaranteed support.

“I am confident that the US support for Ukraine will be unwavering and resolute. And I am not saying that it is “probably” – it will be. I believe in it, and President Biden believes in it,” said the official in charge of the White House issues of foreign policy and security.

Jake Sullivan also recalled that congressmen adhere to a similar point of view, in particular, two senators who visited Kyiv this week – Democrat Chris Koons and Republican Rob Portman: “You do not need to rely on my words: there was a bipartisan delegation from the Senate in Kyiv yesterday: Koons and Portman, Democrat and Republican, who confirmed to the press that they believe support will continue. The United States will provide the resources needed to help the people of Ukraine.”

He also stressed that it is not only about weapons, but also about financial assistance. As you know, the United States provides $1.5 billion a month to pay off the budget deficit during the war, which helps maintain economic stability. He is convinced that there will be support for this with any majority in both houses of Congress.

“I will not talk about domestic politics and (predict) what will happen on Tuesday, but in any scenario, the president intends to work with both parties, as he did initially, in order not only to promise support for Ukraine, but also to provide it. Today in Kyiv in In a conversation with President (Zelensky) and (head of his office) Yermak, I laid out some details on how we will do this, as well as how we plan to ensure that resources are available that can fuel the Ukrainian economy, restore the energy system, help displaced people and cover others. humanitarian needs,” he said.
