Parliamentary delegation of Georgia took part in the session of the Baltic Assembly

On October 27-28, the parliamentary delegation of Georgia headed by the First Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee Giorgi Khelashvili took part in the 41st session of the Baltic Assembly in Riga.

The head of the parliamentary delegation addressed the participants of the assembly session and spoke about Georgia’s expressed support for Ukraine, the situation in the occupied territories of Georgia, and Russia’s aggressive actions against Georgia. In his speech, Giorgi Khelashvili emphasized the joint efforts of Georgia, the European Union and NATO to ensure peace in the region and support Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.

The Chairmen of the Parliaments of Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Montenegro, Poland and Iceland and the Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as well as the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and the Vice President of the European Parliament took part in the Baltic Parliamentary Session.
