The G7 condemned the kidnapping by Russian forces of the leadership of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and demanded the immediate transfer of full control over the plant to Ukraine. This is stated in the G7 statement.

“We condemn the repeated abductions by Russia of the management and employees of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in Ukraine. We urge Russia to immediately transfer full control of the Zaporozhye station to its rightful sovereign owner, Ukraine,” the statement said.

Recall that in March, Russian troops seized Europe’s largest nuclear power plant.
