Iran lies about not selling drones to Russia

Read Time:1 Minute, 30 Second

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Iran is lying when it says it does not supply drones to Russia. He said this in an interview with Canadian television channels CTV and CBC.

“Iran supplies them (the Russians – ed.) with drones, supplies them with the killing of Ukrainians, this is their agreement for money. This is the bloody money that Iran earns. They can say:” We did not take anything, show financial calculations “… We we are talking specifics – Iran handed over the drones that were used to kill Ukrainians, they continue to kill. Not one, not two or five, but hundreds. We know that there are thousands of orders and agreements, but hundreds have definitely been transferred.

They cannot be trusted. They may tell their community that they didn’t sell anything, but that’s a lie, a pure lie. They are killing our people.”

Zelensky stressed that he does not trust the leadership of Iran.

He recalled the Ukrainian UIA plane shot down by a missile in Iran in January 2020, which killed 176 people. The President recalled that at first Iran denied its involvement in the disaster, but was later forced to admit it, but said that it was an accident.

“But other than an apology, they did nothing. They said there would be refunds to families, support for families who lost their loved ones. They said it at the level of a leader … And what did they do? They did nothing, zero, they did nothing helped,” Zelensky said.
