The evaluation team has completed the process of evaluating persons wishing to be nominated as candidates for the Public Defenders of Georgia.
The Parliament of Georgia disseminates information about this, as well as publishes the assessments of individual candidates.
In turn, parliamentary factions and political groups will have to nominate candidates by October 21, which must be at least seven. A group of evaluators is evaluating 19 candidates who have submitted applications to parliament for the position of ombudsman. The Public Defender must be elected by Parliament with a quorum of 90 votes.
