After the death of a 13-year-old girl as a result of an electric shock in Vake Park, the opposition announced the responsibility of Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze.

According to Levan Khabeishvili, a member of the National Movement, it is Kakha Kaladze who should take responsibility for the incident.

“Now silence is a crime. It is a crime, because they are spending tens of millions of lari in a corrupt way, and only in order to earn more money, they are not concerned about the health of our children. My children also walk in the parks, my children also play, and today nothing is safe anymore – first the ceiling in the Varketili metro collapsed, then the stop almost fell on the townspeople in Vake, and now it turns out that the child who plays in Vake in absolutely calm, quiet environment, endangered and everything can end so disastrously.

In the meantime, the mayor opened the square and says that you know that this is a company (guilty). Not a company, but they are criminals, murderers and thieves,” said Levan Khabeishvili.

Gigi Tsereteli, a member of European Georgia, said in turn that it is important to take political responsibility for the incident.

“I can’t say that it could be a coincidence. This is the result of something, and while we offer our condolences to the family, of course, no one should forget that specific people are responsible for this. When millions are spent from the budget and all this is opened with pomp, and the next day this happens. That is why it is necessary to talk about political responsibility and personal responsibility. In order to prevent such a catastrophe from happening in the future,” Gigi Tsereteli said.

Republican Party leader Khatuna Samnidze reacted to the incident by writing on social media: “Resign! He must retire!”
