The mass entry of Russians is like annexing Georgia without tanks, said Giorgi Vashadze, leader of the Strategy Agmashenebeli (Builder), in the Free Studio program on the Palitranews TV channel.

According to Vashadze, Georgia should close the border, and only Georgian citizens should have the right to return to Georgia from Russian territory, as well as Georgian citizens of the Russian Federation who decided to return to their homeland.

“Today we officially demanded to immediately ban Russians from entering Georgia. So did Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Finland. Today, there are about 200,000 Russian citizens in Georgia. The number of Russian citizens will already reach 10% of our population. This means that they have very big influences in Georgia.

We will be occupied – annexed without looking back. A 40-kilometer queue lined up at the Lars checkpoint. Neither Europe nor the Western world accepts Russian citizens. Let them go to Yakutia, why do they come here? Let them hide in Siberia… We are late with the visa regime, what is the visa regime already, we need to close the border,” Vashadze said.

When asked why the authorities do not close the border for Russian citizens, Vashadze replied that “pro-Europeans should lead Georgia to Europe, and let the Georgian Dream go to Russia.”
