President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi on September 26 spoke about mobilization in Russia.

“We are being scared by mobilization, here someone has run abroad. Listen, Russia has 25 million mobilization resources. Well, let 30 thousand run away, well, 50 thousand. And if they had stayed here, would they have been our people?” the politician said.

At the same time, Lukashenka added that he “didn’t really worry when several thousand left in 2020.”

“Let them run. I don’t know how you feel about this, but I wasn’t particularly worried when several thousand left in 2020,” Lukashenka said.

Lukashenka claims that most of the Belarusians who left are asking to come back.

“And they will come. You just need to make a decision what to do with them: either let them go here, or let them feed there on free bread. You can’t do that,” he said.
