A demonstrative exercise of the Special Operations Forces was held as part of the “Worthy Partner-2022”

As part of the Worthy Partner-2022 exercise, demonstration exercises of the Special Operations Forces were held. According to the Ministry of Defense, Major General Thomas Carden of the Georgia National Guard got acquainted with the course of the exercises together with the heads of the Defense Forces. The American guest at the headquarters of the multinational brigade of the 4th Infantry Brigade was received by Major General Georgy Matiashvili.

A demonstration exercise of the Special Operations Forces of the Defense Forces took place today. Representatives of the special operations forces of Georgia, Great Britain and Poland took part in the exercises. Based on the intelligence information they received, they discovered a reconnaissance and sabotage group whose task was to destabilize the region. Representatives of the Special Operations Forces of the countries participating in the exercises conducted a raid and, by joint actions, successfully neutralized the enemy.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the multinational exercises “Worthy Partner-2022” are being held in Georgia for the sixth time and are aimed at increasing the readiness and interoperability between Georgia, the United States, regional partners and allied countries to ensure a stable and secure situation in the Black Sea region.

“Georgia and the United States of America have a special partnership. I personally participated in the development of this partnership for almost 28 years. For me, this is important both from a personal and professional point of view. I see how the Georgian Defense Forces grow and become better every year, ”said Major General Thomas Carden, commander of the US National Guard of the State of Georgia.
