Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili congratulated Liz Truss on her election as British Prime Minister.
The head of government writes on the Twitter social network that relations between Georgia and the UK have reached the highest level in recent years and have moved to a qualitatively new level.
“Congratulations to Ms. Liz Truss on her new position. Relations between Georgia and Great Britain in recent years have reached the highest level and moved to a qualitatively new level. On behalf of the Government of Georgia, I wish Liz Truss all the best in this very important position at a time full of challenges,” writes Irakli Garibashvili.
Liz Truss has been elected the new British Prime Minister. The results of the vote were recently announced at the convention of the British Conservative Party.
