Forest guard car blown up in Zhytomyr Oblast: One dead, one wounded

A forest guard car has driven over a landmine in Zhytomyr Oblast. One person died, and the other one was wounded.

Quote: “Another tragedy in Narodytskyi Spetslishosp [specialised forestry]. The company’s forest guard vehicle exploded upon contacting a mine.

As a result of the explosion, Serhii Salivonik, huntsman of the Radchanskyi Forestry, was killed on the spot, and a forester of the same forestry was injured. He was taken to a medical facility.”

Details: The report also says that the deceased man had three children.

A local outlet reported that in July, a similar incident took place in the same Narodytska hromada [amalgamated territorial community – an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories] near Zalissia village, Zhytomyr Oblast. Two people perished, and six more were wounded as a car exploded after driving upon an explosive device.
