Ukraine received about 5,000 more Starlink terminals; Poland handed them over. This was announced on August 22 by the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov.

“Our Polish friends donated 5,000 Starlinks to Ukraine. This will help Ukrainians to always be in touch, and critical infrastructure facilities to work in the most difficult conditions,” Fedorov wrote.

He thanked Janusz Cieszynski, Secretary of State for Digitalization of Poland, for his help.

At the end of July, Fedorov said that there were already about 12,000 Starlink terminals in Ukraine.

Starlink is a project of Elon Musk’s SpaceX near-Earth satellite system for cheap and high-speed Internet. The US Federal Communications Commission has given SpaceX permission to launch 12,000 satellites of this type, which are designed for a full-scale network designed to provide the inhabitants of the Earth with broadband Internet access anywhere in the world.
