Forecasters predict temperature increase in Georgia above 40 degrees

According to the head of the hydrometeorological service of the National Environment Agency Svetlana Nioradze, hot weather without precipitation will continue in Georgia.
As Svetlana Nioradze told the First Channel of Georgia, until August 28, weather is expected in Georgia mostly without precipitation, the air temperature may rise to 40 degrees.
“In Western Georgia, on August 24, 25 and 26, in some regions, the temperature can reach 40 degrees. However, strong winds are expected. A strong wind is already blowing from the east. Wind of 26 m/s was recorded in Kutaisi. Until August 28, hot and windy weather will remain, mostly without precipitation. Strong winds are not expected in the capital. The temperature will be in the range of 34-36 degrees. We expect higher temperatures in the western part of the country than in eastern Georgia,” said Svetlana Nioradze.
